The classic walk-into-a-bar
A mathematician, a physicist and an engineer are each asked, "What is π?"
The mathematician answers: "π is the ratio of a circle's circumference to its diameter — irrational and transcendental."
The physicist says: "π is approximately 3.14159, plus corrections of order 10⁻⁶ at standard temperature."
The engineer thinks for a moment, then says: "π? About 3. Call it 4 to be safe."

Got a better one? Tell it on Pi Day, March 14, when the audience is most receptive. If it lands, write it down. If it doesn't, blame the engineer.
