About Pi — The Game

A small, independent project built by people who are a little too fond of a single mathematical constant.

What this site is

Pi — The Game started as an iPhone app for memorizing the digits of π and grew into this website: a home for everything pi. Alongside the game, we publish reference material and tools that we wished existed in one place — the digits of pi, a full million of them, circle calculators, fun facts, a quiz, and a pile of Pi Day material.

Why we made it

Pi is the friendliest doorway into real mathematics. It shows up in geometry, physics, statistics and probability, and memorizing its digits is a surprisingly fun challenge that anyone can start today. We wanted a place that treats pi as both a serious number and a genuinely good time — accurate where it counts, playful everywhere else.

How the content is made

Everything here is written and maintained by hand. The digit files are computed and verified against published values, the historical facts are checked against reliable sources, and the calculators are tested against known results. If you ever spot an error, we'd genuinely like to hear about it.

Who's behind it

Pi — The Game is an independent project maintained by its small team. The iPhone app is available on the App Store. For anything at all — corrections, questions, partnership ideas — reach us at apps@applorium.com or via our contact page.
